We are looking for a passionate and experienced National Account Manager to join our team and drive our mission forward.

The Role

As a National Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing our identified portfolio of Office Product Supplies (OPS) channels , with a current portfolio value of £10M. You will be responsible for treatment strategies, contract management, revenue generation, and margin improvement. Your efforts will help create a cohesive team that works together seamlessly to achieve our organizational objectives.

  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the management of our identified portfolio of OPS channels, ensuring alignment with commercial policies.

  • Growth Agenda: Deliver against critical growth objectives, with a focus on organic and street-level business development.

  • Contract Management: Handle contract negotiations and management to ensure favorable terms and compliance.

  • Revenue Generation: Drive new business and pricing strategies to maximize revenue.

  • Margin Improvement: Implement strategies for price and mix optimization to improve margins.

  • Gap Analysis: Conduct comprehensive gap analysis of channel catalogues, understanding ROI at SKU level.

  • Yearly Plans: Build and communicate yearly plans for each distributor, ensuring implementation through quarterly reviews.

  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor execution of business plans, pipelines, and business performance at portfolio level.

  • Joint Business Plans: Conduct quarterly reviews of joint business plans with full internal/external visibility.

  • Rebate & MDF Principles: Understand and manage rebate and Marketing Development Fund principles and their impact on the business.

  • Customer Ownership: Clearly communicate ownership of customers for specific activities, such as price increases.

  • Account Receivables: Effectively manage account receivables to avoid bad debts, liaising with credit control and distributors.

  • DSR Salesforce: Build and manage DSR shadow salesforce through training, incentives, and in-field coaching.

  • Key Account Identification: Support identification of potential new Key Accounts to be worked by Business Development Managers.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Key Account Managers and Business Development Managers to enable new business with channel partners.

  • Relationship Management: Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders within channel partners and the KCP regional business.

About You A seasoned professional in strategic account management and distributor relations, with a strong foundation in B2B sales and a proven ability to drive growth through effective matrix management. Demonstrates commercial acumen, strategic and analytical thinking, and excels in navigating complex and ambiguous environments. Skilled in cross-functional collaboration across finance, operations, and marketing, with a proficiency in digital selling. Known for crafting and executing strategic visions, influencing stakeholders at all levels—including the C-suite—and driven by intellectual curiosity and a passion for solving challenging problems.
