The incumbent supervises Stores personnel and reports to the Reliability Manager, managing spare parts availability and utilizing processes to drive inventory management excellence. Ensures quality parts and materials are available in a timely manner, while minimizing the Company's investment. May include refurbishment activities, and service order maintenance for items not efficiently managed via MRP.

In this role, you will: 

  • Lead initiatives to minimize excess and unnecessary inventory using MPP (Material Planning Process) and Central Stores Inventory Health processes, systems, and data. Ensure that critical parts maintain appropriate safety stock levels.

  • Support plant maintenance schedules by procuring materials promptly. Analyze how material availability affects maintenance schedules and communicate potential conflicts. Resolve issues related to part availability by adjusting purchase delivery dates, supporting plans, and/or sourcing order fulfillment.

  • Lead and evaluate issues surrounding spare parts and repairs. Develop and implement strategies for resolving these issues by collaborating with plant resources, purchasing, and vendors. Ensure the realization of key stores metrics and objectives.

  • Audit and report the Reliability team’s efforts to capture Safety Stock items on a Functional Location BOM (Bill of Materials) in SAP and ensure a valid ATS (Available to Stock) for all Safety Stock items.

  • Act as liaison with daily Operations and Reliability meetings to understand and support customer needs.  

  • Serve as an expert and training resource for the materials management (MM/IM/WM) portion of SAP. Train less experienced personnel on established methods and share technical knowledge, demonstrating an understanding of diverse backgrounds and experiences.

  • Other duties as assigned, including backup support for Reliability & Maintenance Manager.

In one of our [professional, technical, or manufacturing] roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:  

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Maintenance, or other related field (or) a technical school education with additional equivalent years of work experience, preferred.

  • 3+ years of logistics, warehouse, parts management, and SAP experience preferred.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills. This role involves daily interaction via email, voicemail, and direct communication with AERs, planners, vendors, store clerks, and others. It requires the ability to communicate effectively to inform, engage, and inspire a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Ability to lead, empower, and coach team members

  • Monday-Friday availability from 8am-4pm and flexibility to work varying hours based on the need to support a 24/7 operation.

  • Flexibility to travel as required for benchmarking and process sharing across the region.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and be exposed to computer and other digital screens.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail is a must.

  • Lean Manufacturing, Blue Belt is preferred.

Starting Hourly Wage: $36.90 CAD

This position is eligible for the starting wage listed above, overtime pay and available pay increases within your first year.  You’ll also enjoy a full benefits package.
